The design was inspired by the materials (or lack there of), a small piece of oak, two small pieces of walnut, and an old, old piece of 2x4. It doesn't get any simpler that this. The walnut edges of the top are attached with with 1/4'' dowels capped with 3/4" oak plugs. The legs are attached with wedged through-tenons. The table measure 25" wide by 11" deep by 17" high. The finish is Danish oil.
