This is a cherry silverware chest I build for a very dear friend of mine in Canada. I lucked across this piece of figured cherry to make the box sides and top. The box base is 1/2" maple ply. The knife holder in top is maple which was rabbited out. The silverware holder in the base is black walnut. The box finish is precatalized clear satin lacquer.
