Oval chest in redwood burl & cherry

The curved front door, and drawer above the door, and the top are made from 4-away book matched burl redwood.
Inside the curved door is curly maple. The oval ends of the chest are cherry, curved using coopering techniques.
The curved back of the chest features figured 4- way book-matched cherry.

My wife requested a small chest, in which to store her gardening shoes, gloves & sheers. Because I am convinced she levitates above the earth, as she never seems to get dirty, I decided it was appropriate to honor her gardening shoes accordingly. Happy Birthday

WWTim WWTim writes: It looks like you really fussed on that cabinet! Nice job, ovals are not the easiest of shapes to work with. I hope your wife was happy and gets many years of use out of it.
