gabon ebony and cocobollo treasure box.most of the work was spent polishing the parts before assembly.Then the nerve racking task of fitting brussos quad hinges so the lid would line up with the base.I made the lid in three pieces because i didnt have a wide enough board for the top.It is held together with splines.The handle is cocobolo with a 3/16 brass rod.

Capella Capella writes: Very subtle, elegant box. It's interesting how sometimes your limitations (ie. not having a large enough piece of wood for the lid) can lead to a great design element that you would not have otherwise considered.
