Hollow Spiral Candle Holder

I turned this hollow spiral candle holder from a block of mahogany. After turning it round, I drew a grid pattern on it, then I drew the spiral layout lines at the intersections of the grid, like connecting dots. Then I used a flexible straightedge and drew the spiral lines. Following these lines, I overlapped drilling holes a little more than half way through the wood, which hollowed out the center. When you reached the other side, it took about 54 holes to create the hollow spiral.
