This piece was rather an exercise in design. Woods are qs white oak and wenge.

Center spindles are sawn to shape 12/4 stock, carrying the weight of 44"x108" top which is cradled by a similar configuration as the base, although additional 4"x36"x3/8" thick steel plates also adds to the table top's stability.

Finished with varnish.
