The interior is carbon/Kevlar cloth set in epoxy with a matte polyurethane finish. The seat is closed cell foam covered with neoprene

This Night Heron kayak is strip planked with western red cedar. The cedar has been stained with Behlens Solar-Lux then encapsulated with 4 ounce fiberglass cloth and epoxy. The finish is spar varnish that has been rubbed out and polished.

The paddle has western red cedar blades with a Sitka spruce shaft and ash accents
