Can you carve out some time for woodworking fun at the beginning of August? Can you get yourself to lovely New Paltz, NY? Then just post a comment below. We'll pick one and hand that lucky woodworker an all-access pass to Fine Woodworking Live, worth $530!
Your golden ticket gets you three days at our first-ever live event, packed with classes, seminars, and demos, where you will get to hang out with your favorite FWW authors, like Garrett Hack, Michael Fortune, Steve Latta, Chris Becksvoort, Mike Pekovich, and many more. Plus you get the special Saturday-night banquet, a music and storytelling evening with woodworking twist, with Nick Offerman, star of NBC's Parks & Recreation and recent FWW author.
It all begins Thursday evening, August 2, at the State University of New York in New Paltz's beautiful new student center and continues through noon on Sunday. You'll want to bring your spouse along, as the Hudson Valley is packed with shopping, museums, historic sites, and outdoor beauty.
Just post a comment below. Easiest sweepstakes ever! For more about the event, go to www.finewoodworkinglive.com.
Now to keep the lawyers happy, I have to include all this stuff:

I will finally be able to share my new invention
The 'IRON STOP'. Attaches to any hand plane and retracts the blade
in 1/1000 sec if you set it down on its sole.
Hopefully they will be required, by law, on all new planes.
