This table top was constructed of mdf for the substrate with a top layer of veneer that consisted of 17 individual pieces of veneer all glue together then glued down to the mdf substrate. The 17 pieces included 8 birdseye maple pie cut sections for the field, 8 purple heart sections for the rays and a round ebony center. The table thickness is 1 1/2" except for a 4" outside edge which is tapered from the 1 1/2" to 1/2" around the outer edge of the entire circular table top.

Design or Plan used: My own design - Sergio Garcia and Frank Trucchio
