Zebrawood and Walnut Jewelry Box
comments (0) March 10th, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
I made this box as a donation to a local organization's charity auction. I wanted to see how large a box I could make using my small shop and Doug Stowe's guidance about boxmaking techniques. The tray was actually an afterthought but in fact I think makes the completed box work well. Zebrawood is challenging - it is waxy with confused grain; tears out like crazy.
