Reproduction Thomas Jefferson Chessboard

I made the board by gluing together alternating strips of 1/2" thick mahogany and bass wood lengthwise (1 1/4" x 15"). I then cross cut 1 1/4" lengths from this to create 8 strips of alternating 1 1/4" squares. These were then glued together to form the board. I made the feet by casting pewter in a hand carved mold.
