Floor Lamp
comments (1) February 12th, 2012 in Reader's Gallery
Decided I needed a floor lamp to go with what is becoming an asian themed living room. This is my first attempt at bent laminant. Stand is made of cherry and lamp is cherry frame but tiger maple panels. I cut out cherry blossom design on my scroll saw. Rice paper completed the asian them for the lantern. Most challenging part was threading the electric cord through groove in between laminants. Finish is tung oil and shellac. Hope this project is "enlightening" to you as it is to me.
