This is the bed I made for my wife out of cherry.  I wanted it to somewhat match the nightstands but my wife really wanted it to be darker so I ended up staining it.  I didn't really want to but better to make her happy since we'll have this one for a long time.  I did put some handcut dovetails in the headboad and also in the base of the foot board. I made cherry runners to match also.  This was my biggest project so far!
