Turned from murtle it can take the glass votive or a large candle.
From a piece of hickory. It was a cut off from turning a bowel. It can take different size candels and can stand either way up.
The same stand just the other way up. I love the contrast in the hickory and it polishes up nicely. I finished them with shelac.
This one is also reversible it takes a candle one side up and a tea light the other.

I had a lot of fun creating candle holders. I did discover that not all tea lights are created equall. I had the stands all finished and them opened a new pack of tea lights to put in them to discover they did not fit. So I had to put them back on the lathe and make the holes bigger and refinish. Luckly finishing on the lathe is a lot quicker than on furniture.

Now I am looking forward to turning some legs.
