My first bowl turned from a shop bought blank of curly maple.
This I turned from a fresh piece of hickory from South Carolina.
A salt bowl and spoon both from walnut. I turned the spoon and helped my wife turn the bowel.

I have had fun over the holiday period while i have been on vacation learning to turn bowels on my lathe. Here are a selction I still have a long way to go before I become proficeient but I am learning.
