This is my first cutting board.  It measures about 12"x9.5"x1" thick.  It is made of walnut and hard maple.  It is endgrain and finished with 3 coats of mineral oil.  I put rubber feet on the bottom to keep it from moving.  I really enjoyed using up some scrap wood on this project.  I look forward to making many more cutting boards.  I downloaded and used the  CBdesign program to help decide the pattern and cutting thicknesses.
