This year’s Maine Wood 2012, is the third biennial show of its kind hosted by the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. The show highlights the “breadth, creativity, and excellence of wood craftsmanship in the state of Maine” and runs from Dec 2, 2011 – April 6, 2012.
The show consists of 21 pieces by Maine studio furniture makers, turners, carvers and sculptors that exhibit excellence in craftsmanship and design, and have been made within the past 5 years. Fine Woodworking Contributing Editor, Christian Becksvoort is one of the furniture makers exhibiting, as well as Kevin Rodel, Peter Turner and Gerald Curry.
