Eagle Shadowbox

I Attached the MDF template to the oak with double sided fabric tape. Time to route out this 2x4 beast.
Routed out the top and put a babbit in the back to receive the glass.
Started to add the sides that will make the eagle 3 thick.
Sides are added and routed.
Addes the front ingravings, cut the glass, made the back pannel, made a stand and added the lining and medals.

The eagle shadowbox project started when someone approached me to see if I could make a shadowbox in the shape of an eagle for our Commander. After looking over the details I jumped on the opportunity to challenge myself. Needless to say it was fun and took about 18 bft of 13/16 red oak and a week or so of intermittent work.
