I left the top with a few more rough shaping marks, especially in the slight bow in the front.  It seems to contrast well with the straight lines in the bottom.
I am not really partial to dovetail drawers, but I really like how these turned out.

Close up of one of the bridal joints.  I started softening the edges with chisels and liked the look, so I left it.
Thought I would show where the old growth oak came from...

This is a desk I made for my wife.  She helped me take down the barn, so I was more than happy to use it on this piece for her.

The white and red oaks and pine drawer bottoms are all reclaimed; the walnut inlay was virgin.

This is also the first time I rubbed out a finish.  It was a lot more work than I thought it would be, but I really like how it turned out.
