Chippendale Lamp Table in Peruvian Mahogany

This is a reproduction of a Chippendale table that I constructed with Peruvian mahogany as the primary wood and sycamore as the secondary.  The finish is red mahogany wood filler under a sprayed acrylic lacquer.  All details are hand-carved, and the compound angle stretcher joint is a challenge to do.

shopguy shopguy writes: The table is quite elegant. I like the Marlborough legs. The gadrooning looks great. Did you shape the molding with a router or shaper bit before you carved the gadrooning. If you did what bit did you use?
