Using and Tuning Your Bandsaw by Hendrik Varju
Passion for Wood, 2011.
$89.95Can; 7 hrs, 54 mins

In his latest instructional DVD, Using and Tuning Your Bandsaw, Hendrik Varju covers the things you need to know to successfully use your bandsaw. The DVDs are broken into chapters and begin with chapters on cast iron and European bandsaws. These chapters describe the different features in each type of bandsaw – helpful if you are in the market for a bandsaw. Next up are chapters on blades, component upgrades, checks and fine tuning, and blade changing and setup. Varju does not stop at these technical setups, but goes on to include several chapters about bandsaw use. He covers ripping and crosscutting, resawing and free-hand cutting, joinery work and making templates.

As in his previous DVDs Varju takes you through the procedures in real time so you don’t miss anything. It’s like he is in your shop giving you a helping hand. As the trademarked name says, this set of 4 DVDs (almost 8 hrs) is “Private Woodworking Instruction in a Box”.

Lucky bigjon_175 is the winner. His comment was chosen at random.

Stay tuned for more giveaways.
