A mahogany Chinese table. This was the first Chinese inspired piece that I built, and is my favorite. Sliding dovetail battens are under the book matched top and the leg joints are mortise and tennoned mitres with another tennon for the top going behind the side rails. The entire peice interlocks as a result of these joining techniques and can hold together with no glue. Finish is tung oil with varnish and my own wax.

Design or Plan used: As detailed in a book by Gustav Ecke
