This is my take on the famous "Wooton" desk built in the late 1800's in Indiana.  I was able to find an original so that I could get overall dimensions, but the rest of the design is my own.  It took about 6 months to build in my garage workshop.  The construction is mostly Red Oak, with Maple and Walnut used on the inlayed stars at the top.

I guess that once I got started, I was motivated to push on through. When not traveling for my job though, I work from home. Than enables me to take a break from work to do a quick glue up. Than can save some time.
