Buckeye Burl and Walnut Pedestal Table

Here's a buckeye burl and walnut table. I couldn't make up my mind whether I wanted a "live edge" or a defined edge. So ... I went with both. The figure is something to behold. Eye candy !!

The base is walnut with some arts and crafts highlights

I hope you enjoy. I certainly did. Its a great thing, this woodworking.

BenchMarc BenchMarc writes: Really a lovely thing! The base is exquisite and perfectly weighted for the top. I have never seen buckeye burl before, but the color variation and chatoyance of the burl remind me, to some degree, of granite. Excellent job all around.

4545 4545 writes: The "eye candy" is a little too sweet for me personally, though I think I'd like the real thing better than I do seeing it in pictures and the more I stare at it the more my mind opens to the idea. And even if I never get past that one thing I really admire the rest of it. The shape and proportions seem perfect to me, the base is excellent I think even though I don't usually favor the style this is so right I can't help liking it. The craftsmanship looks superb in the pictures--beautiful job on the top.
