A matching pair of display cabinets was designed by myself to both display art pieces and to house fine books for access in the living / reading room. The Arts and Crafts styling features through tenons, solid side case panels cut bookmatched from cherry planks, frame and panel back construction, and interior xenon lighting which projects downward through the glass shelving. The corner posts of upper and lower cases were each cut from the same piece of 8/4 cherry for grain match. The upper and lower cases are joined with shear pins and vertical ties hidden at the back.
