This bowl is made from a branch of a Palo Verde tree that blew over in a monsoon storm.  The log that this bowl came from was then propped up on my garage floor to commence the spalting process. It never ceases to amaze me the shapes that appear when turning spalted wood.

Today I lost a beautiful Palo Verde in a monsoon wind. I am heart broken and would like to preserve the tree in some way.

Is this a project you would be interested in? The landscaper is coming to remove the tree Thursday morning and I'd like to know what to save before he hauls it away.
