This is a workbench helper I designed that I can easily attach to my workbench. It simply wraps around the front of the bench and is held in place by two custom bench dogs that slide through the dados in the clamp cradle. It can be used all along the length of my bench so long as I have bench dog slots available. I first thought of using the Jorgensen hold-down clamp but settled on the Jorgensen Pony deep reach pipe clamp for greater capacity. I came up with the design out of necessity since my workbench is against the wall.

I have been designing something similar to incorporate into my new bench that I'm building, and while it has the same basic purpose, it's very different in design and I don't think it will be as adjustable as yours. I do like yours though, I like that a lot!
