My neighbor was cutting a limb off of his pecan tree about a year ago when I asked if I could have it.  As Mother's day came around I thought I could use it to spin something for my wife.  Here is what I came up with: a hand juicer and an avocado masher for making guacamole.

The flutes on the juicer were carved free hand with chisels after I got it off the lathe.  I like how the flutes have inconsistent hand worked surfaces directly next to the smoothed ones.
