A pair of Federal-style sideboards made from sapele with Karelian birch inlay. Tops and legs are solid sapele, aprons and sides are sapele veneered over pine. Shellac and French polish finish. The dimensions and style were copied from a table that I saw on Garrett Hack's website.

Note: I also built the aeroplanes a couple of years ago.

The tables combine a classic look with a light, sprightly feel. Elements like the bevel on the top and the curves of the apron give them life. They are perfect for those extraordinary airplanes; they both capture the magic interplay of the engineering and romance of flight. Wonderful work; thanks for posting.
