Cherry occasional table built to fit a client's space. Turned legs with simple one-ring collar. Shelf built with breadboard ends to accommodate seasonal wood movement. Faces of front cross pieces veneered with stock from drawer front for continuous grain pattern. Finished with Maloof tung oil/linseed oil/varnish mixture hand-rubbed with 0000 steel wool, then wet sanded and waxed.

After restoring it I want to make another in cherry using the same leg design as yours, without the drop leaves but with the top extensions as you did. Thank you for the inspiration to do it. Doesn't cherry age well? Ernie White, a clock maker.
