Love Chairs - "RA" the ancient egyptian sun god is symbolised here purely because of the yellow leather back pads. I set out to make these chairs comfortable after having tried many that weren't. What good is an uncomfortable chair? ( okay -gets rid of unwanted guests) Anyway its based on the ancient Roman campaign chair as all furniture in those days was fold-up or knock-down and take-it-with-you, which is why they translate "furniture" as "mobile" in Italy. Most people in european cities live in cramped apartments so these days fold up chairs are still in demand. This one is fold-up, and comfortable. A first, I think.

I'm suggesting that they might function better as solo chairs, that fold flat rather than just transform volumes and yet somehow still nest together in the way you've made them.

Nice job.
