This is a 4 string Mountain Dulcimer in the hourglass design.
This instrument was handcrafted from scratch in my home shop. It has a light clear coat of oil that is hand rubbed. The instrument is signed and dated on the inside and can be viewed through the soundhole.
The tuning head and tailpiece are Walnut .
The sides are also Walnut.
The fret board is Maple and Cherry with Maple position dots.
The soundboard and back are book-matched Spanish Cedar.
This instrument is made of all solid wood----no plywood.
Instrument measures 8" at the widest point. 2" thick. The string length is 31-1/2" from nut to bridge. Overall length is 38-1/2". It also has 6-1/2 and 13-1/2 fret.
Design or Plan used: My Own Design - My own design.
