I did this a few years ago. It took me about 6 months working on and off between other projects. I did most of the work early in the morning before I had to go to my real job. Towards the end it became a bit of a sleepless obsession. Cutting the dovetails into the curved pieces was something I had never done before. The most challenging part (besides getting the proportions correct) was cutting the framework underneith the top. The finish is oil & wax, and it is constructed with cherry and walnut.
