"We'd like something a little more modern," which considering that it came from an 82 year old gentelman was brave indeed. I'd made a hall mirror for Norman and his wife a couple of years earlier to hang over an antique regency table, and now they wanted to replace it. Who was I to argue? I drew six designsand this is the one they chose, made from Sonokeling a plantation grown rosewood and Amboyna veneer. The structure was laminated Flexiply made over a mold and placed in a vacuum bag. The front pilasters and drawer fronts were all hand turned, including the rolls at each end.
