The difficulty of this Federal heartback chair is what attracted Steve Brown when he chose it for his final project at North Bennet Street School. The other attraction was the curves, which Brown called "the most graceful I've ever seen in a heartback." See more on the Back Cover of Fine Woodworking issue # 218 and How They Did It

kmack kmack writes: A great example of timeless design. This is as beautiful today as when it was designed. Steve's skills as a craftsman should not be understated either. Watching him work with hand tools is something to behold. I learned many a lesson, and still learn from his work and his style of teaching.
