This is a smallish chest of drawers all in Cherry, except for bottoms, which are poplar, the larger drawers being divided bottoms.  The drawer arrangement is unconventional, just  to get away from the usual gradation from bottom to top.
Drawer sides and backs are also cherry.

This was the first project I completed with a Waterlox finish, which was recommended to me by another woodworker I met in a custom lumber yard.  My standard finish was Sealcoat followed by Topcoat Gel by General.  The Watrerlox's deep amber coloring, especially on cherry, won me over.
