This is a basket made by scroll sawing and carving to clean it up.  The piece is unfinished to make the basket weave more realistic.  I put just a couple of drops of lemon oil on the mahogany to bring out the color.  The whole piece was sanded to 600 grit and then burnished with synthetic steel wool to bring up a shine.  I bleached the red oak in the handle to better compliment the colors of the other woods.

Design or Plan used: From the book "Scroll Saw Basket Weave Projects"
