My unfinished walk out basement inclded a boat garage and a framed out bedrom next to it.  I appropriated this space for my shop,
I use the bedroom space for assembly and hand work.  The space is well lit from the double doors and window.
I made both the sharpeniong bench on the right and the router table on the left.
The garage side of the shop had my tablesaw, band saw, miter station that doubles as a planer stand.

My unfinished walk out basement included a "boat" garage and a framed out bedroom next to it.  I appropriated this space for my shop.  The walls are simply painted 1/2inch plywood and the ceiling, is luan.  I use the bedroom side for handwork and assembly.  The garage side has most of the power tools.  Seems like i jump between a furniture project and then something for the shop,

No noise issues. I fully insulated the internal walls and ceilings to cut out the noise. My wife has to call me with the intercom – it works both ways.
