Qtr. sawn white oak end table with intersecting trestles

This table is made from Qtr. sawn White Oak with highlights of Wenge and Walnut. The upper and lower decks have a solid Wenge edge detail and the through tenons are pinned with Walnut dowels. I really enjoyed designing and building this table because it gave me a chance to practice some jointery that I have never done before such as through tenons.  I also like parts to appear to be floating like the upper and lower decks do on this table.  The table is stained with a golden oak/special walnut mix gel stain and top coated with three coats of laquer.
