Interior Makeover from Port Townsend Washington
comments (0) January 13th, 2011 in Reader's Gallery
This is the work of Chris Cantrell of Cantrell Woodworks Inc., Port Townsend, WA. Chris' passion and challenge is to design incorporating a variety of media, such as glass, steel, and wood, with the lighting. The doors are Khaya (African Mahogany) and Richlite (an environmentally sustainable paper-based fiber composite). The glass is laminated with rice paper. There is a steel burnished panel on the face of the island. Cantrell and Raab designed this 15' wide space (the width of the pods). Chris' newly designed door, premiering in Quil Pod, blends bamboo, fir, cherry and glass. More of these types ofprojects can be found here: http://www.cantrellwoodworks.com
