Japanese screens look so light and easy. Actually with all the fine joints they are a lot of effort.
They were constructed from old Australian hardwood floor boards for a friend.

Japanese rice paper screens. Nice to look at. Hard to make. I was given several board feet of Australian hardwood flooring. In return I was asked to make a set of Japanese screens to divid a room.

Much harder to make then I thought. Lots of finicky joints.
