Late afternoon in the shop.

Krenov inspired cabinet on stand for my neice as a wedding gift. Cabinet is hickory with quilted soft maple panels. The back panels feature spalting and were resawn from the same board and bookmatched. The end panels were also resawn from one board. Base is constructed from walnut that was harvested from the property of a friend. The shelf supports are hand carved and the door pulls are my own design. Cabinet is finished with gel varnish and the base is a wipe on poly.

This project was a pleasure to build.

Thanks for looking.

Ken
