This is a gift I made for a friend of mine who is a jazz/blues musician. Its a double guitar stand, with space for his collection of jazz and blues books and a small lidded box to store all the small things that go with his guitars. The side arms are a bent lamination of six pieces of 3/16inch thick mahogany. This was done on a form with lots of clamps. The wood is Cuban mahogany with purple heart accents. The base is mahogany but stained. The whole piece has been finished with water based satin clear finish. The rests are covered in Italian leather.
