I am going to visit my uncle, aunt and a cousin I have not seen in 30 years. So I decided to make some gifts as we are staying at their house. So I made the tray out of ash and the recipe book stand out of alder.

The tray I made a template and the plan was to use a pattern bit to do the shaping, but my double sided tape would not stick so I used a micro plane and a spoke shave and I am very happy with the final result.
