Cherry box with end grain lid

This little box, appx 10" wide, was made entirely from timber felled/cleared on our own land after the 1999 hurricaine in SW France and air dried in the barn. The carcase is cherry, the lid cherry, oak, chestnut, ash and alder.
It's not too clear in the photo, but the construction is splined mitres.
