Custom Double Rocking Chair - Lacewood & Walnut
comments (0) November 7th, 2010 in Reader's Gallery
This sculpted rocking chair is built from 2'' quarter-sawn Brazilian Lacewood and Canadian Black Walnut accented with Ebony plugs.
For this chair we laminiated walnut to the top and underside of the solid lacewood seat. When hand craved on the top the lacewood gets exposed to reveal it's beautiful and unique grain patterns.
This chair was a special wedding gift, although the chair could have been enough we added a custom foot stool that was engraved with a special wedding message that was on the wedding invitations. Both the stool and underside of the chair have the same engravings.
Features
- Form fitting flexiable back braces
