 - CLICK TO ENLARGE Photo: Workbench with no wheels

I had to be able to move my workbench to get at my supply of wood stacked behind it.  This series of photos shows how I solved the problem of moving a massive bench in my workshop.  The other end of the bench as the same set up.  With the wheels locked down, I can move this bench with very little effort, it only takes moments, and with the wheels stored in the up position, the bench is rock solid on the floor.

The hinges were purchased earlier with no projects in mind - a Lee Valley sale. Eventually all things find a use.
