Yes, it swivels! 2 lazy Susans let into the segmented cylinder allow it to swivel
Hunduran Mahogany, Maple and Wenge inlay with pre-catalyzed lacquer finish

The weak point was trying to figure out how to attach the legs to the top while incorporating a batten below attempting to help keep the top straight. The screws are all at right angles to the board it is screwed into. So far, (1.5 yrs later, in a very hot house with forced air) its held up fine (though the clients dogs nawed at parts!!!!)

Definitely the strangest coffee table I have ever made  (strangest I have ever seen actually...It was oodles of fun though)
