ebony & bubinga bench

This is a small bench in solid macassar ebony and figured bubinga. The legs are split turnings. If kept indoors and away from fire and flood, this piece should be around for a long, long time.

louielouie louielouie writes: Thanks very much for taking the time to comment. The finish on the bench is a satin sheen catalyzed lacquer, sprayed on in thin coats. Very natural looking and very durable finish.

Also, here's a tip I learned from a professional refinisher. I do the final rubout on my finishes with a clean sheet of printer paper. It is just abrasive enough to knock off any nibs of dust and leave a silky feel without leaving any scratches or altering the sheen. May sound silly, but it really works.
