Contemporary Bar Stool

Built using Canadian Walnut, hand shaped seat and joints. All joints are reinforced with 4'' screws and plugged with Ebony. Have a seat at the bar in comfort and style.
As soon as I saw a sketch by Sam Maloof in his book I wanted to build a bar stool in his style. But rather then re-invent the wheel it just so happen a Mr. Scott Morrison has already built some bar stools in his style. I ordered his templates and video instructions.
After building many rocking chairs our style additions have been refined mostly to do with sculpting. There’s a fine line on taking enough or not taking enough wood off when sculpting, we now have a feel for how we want our lines to flow and feel. We passed these lines on to this bar stool.
